What office do you seek?

Re-election-school board trustee

What is the primary reason you are running for this office?

I want to ensure that NCLUSD students get the best education possible, by whatever legal channels and avenues District administration and the Board have to take.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?

To work along with administration and teachers to find a solution, or solutions, to help our students boost test scores.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I am tenacious and determined, and committed to the students of NCLUSD. My primary goal is to ensure that our students get the best education in California.

What position do you hold regarding the removal of “Bless Me, Ultima” or other works?

I do not think this book was appropriate for 14 year olds to read over the summer without a teacher’s guidance. I love books, love to read, and would never take an age-appropriate book from a child, but this one should never have been in the curriculum for this grade level. There are many, many great books with more appropriate content that could be selected for these students.

Where do you work and what is your job title? (If retired, list position before retirement)

Stanislaus County Library-Newman Branch, Branch Manager

What date were you born and where?

n/a

What is your spouse's name, if any?

n/a

What are the names and ages of your children, if any?

n/a

Please list the schools and colleges you attended, the degrees you attained and when.

n/a

Have you ever held an elected or appointed public office? (Include dates and office title)

Not before being appointed to the Board in 2007

Have you run before for an elected public office? (Include dates and exact office title)

No

Approximately how much money do you expect to spend on your campaign?

As little as possible

Have you ever been convicted or charged with a crime other than a minor traffic violation? If so, please explain and include dates and locations.

No

Have you or a business you owned or had principal interest in ever filed bankruptcy? If so, please include dates and the location the bankruptcy was filed.

n/a
