The Turlock City Council unanimously approved:
Installing an aquatic playground at Columbia Park. Money for the $400,000 project will come from a community development block grant and the Turlock Redevelopment Agency.
Changing the policy regarding reinstatement charges for water service, eliminating the option for residents to pay more to have water turned back on that day.
Amending the municipal code regarding mobile food vendors to require them to renew their permits at the same time instead of as they expire.
Establishing a lien for weed abatement.
Directing the budget subcommittee, consisting of Mayor John Lazar and Councilman Ted Howze, to look at the city's budget, which continues to deteriorate. Working with staff, the subcommittee will come up with ways to bring expenditures in line with declining revenues.
