A two-alarm fire over the weekend destroyed a warehouse, causing an estimated $750,000 in damage, officials said. Modesto Fire Battalion Chief Dan Hinshaw said the fire was reported at 2:55 a.m. Saturday at a warehouse behind a furniture store at Ninth and B streets.
He said damage was estimated at $500,000 for the building and $250,000 for its contents. Hinshaw said he believes the 20,000-square-foot warehouse had furniture in it. He said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
