Students, friends and neighbors holding candles gathered Saturday evening in front of the Del Rio home of Ken and Diane Terhune, who were killed there a few days before.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department said it had no new information to release on the investigation into the deaths of the Terhunes. Their 24-year-old son Cameron was arrested in connection with their deaths and is being held without bail at the county jail.
Ashton Smart, a Central Catholic High School student who organized the vigil, said participants prayed for the souls of those who were lost. The Terhunes' younger son, Elliott, 16, attends Central Catholic.
The bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Terhune were discovered Thursday. Their identities were confirmed after fingerprints were taken during autopsies Friday. Authorities have not disclosed how they were killed.
