Christmas shopping is easy for those with unlimited budgets.
If you've got $250,000 burning a hole in your pocket, you can spring for the "his and hers" two-seater Icon aircraft (the cost includes pilot training for two) from the Neiman Marcus catalog.
But times are tight and most people are watching their spending this holiday season.
Still, as the old saying goes, you don't have to spend a lot on the holidays to make them meaningful. With that in mind, we at The Bee set out to find a month's worth of gifts for everyone on your list.
We'll feature one every day through Dec. 24. Each gift is available at a local merchant and sells for $20 or less.
Hopefully, you'll get an idea or two for an unexpected but delightful gift for that hard-to-buy-for someone, who really isn't hoping for a Chia Pet this year.
And if even $20 is too much, there are always the gifts that don't cost anything: Do some chores for an elderly family member, baby-sit for a new parent, make dinner for your siblings, bake a batch of muffins for the neighbors.
It's impossible to make the holiday season stress-free for everybody. But hopefully with these suggestions from your local merchants, you'll cross one task off your list.
At the same time, you'll be keeping your spending money in the community, where it does the most good.
