The Bee's 2009 All-Stanislaus District Volleyball Team


MEGAN CALLAHAN, Buhach Colony senior

Central California Conference MVP makes second appearance on all-district team. Delivered whopping 35 kills in Thunder's 3-1 victory over Wood in opening round of the D2 section playoffs.

KAITLYN KLEIN, Modesto senior

Outside hitter was Modesto Metro Conference MVP after leading Panthers to 15-0 record. Headed to Bryant University in Rhode Island on scholarship — first Panthers player to receive a Division I scholarship.

HANAH BLUME, Sonora senior

Outside hitter and co-Valley Oak League MVP (along with Oakdale's Jaci Powell) led Wildcats to 33-7 mark (17-0 in VOL) and into D3 section semifinals. Had 24 kills in section quarterfinal win over Union Mine.

KAITLYN BRAYTON, Escalon senior

Outside hitter was co-Trans-Valley League MVP. Had 23 kills, 18 digs, block and ace in Cougars' win over Ripon second time teams met, and delivered 25 kills and 4 aces in loss to Ripon in teams' first match.

JACI POWELL, Oakdale senior

Two-time all-district selection and three-time all-VOL pick shared league MVP honors this season with Sonora's Hanah Blume. Shared MVP honors with twin sister Juli at Oakdale Invitational.

CHEYANN DEPRUE, Ripon junior

Hard-hitting junior was named first-team all-TVL for league champs. Had 15 kills in Indians' 4-1 NorCal D4 semifinal win over Notre Dame. Had 23 kills and 11 digs in late September win over Escalon.


MICHELLE TERPSTRA, Ripon Christian junior

Junior setter earned first-team all-TVL honors and played vital role in the Knights — who had just three seniors on the roster this season — winning third straight D5 section title and section-record 13th overall.

KATIE APRILE, Escalon senior

First-team all-TVL pick delivered 41 assists, 12 digs, two blocks and two aces in Cougars' 3-1 win over TVL champ Ripon on Oct. 15. Had 27 assists and three blocks in playoff win over Capital Christian.

CARLEE FELBER, Orestimba senior

Warriors' 5-foot-2 setter earned Western Athletic Conference MVP recognition after setting school career records for assists, digs and aces. Delivered 23 assists in Orestimba's 3-2 D4 playoff victory against Colfax.

MARISSA GUARDADO, Atwater senior

First-team all-CCC pick was named league's Setter of the Year after leading Falcons to undefeated league championship. Racked up 31 assists in Atwater's D2 section playoff-opening victory against Elk Grove.


First-team all-TVL selection had 21 kills and 7 blocks in Indians' 3-1 victory over Notre Dame in D4 section semifinals. Four-year starter for the Indians who recently signed a letter of intent to play at Sonoma State.

SARAH BLUME, Sonora senior

The second half of Sonora's twin towers was first-team all-VOL selection. Had 15 assists, 14 digs and two blocks in Wildcats' season-ending loss to El Camino in section D-3 semifinals.
