Wesley Hall announced Tuesday that he is resigning from the Stanislaus County Employees' Retirement Association board.
Hall, 86, will end more than 43 years of board service Dec. 31, including 25 years as the retiree representative.
According to his letter of resignation, the recent clamor over retirement issues has caused stress and affected his health. "There are so many personal things I want to do," his letter added.
Alternate Linda Stotts- Burnett will serve as a voting member until local government retirees elect a new representative.
