A pit bull puppy rescued by a San Diego couple along Taylor Road in Turlock last month has been spared, and is in for a road trip.
George and Lorena Nelson posted fliers and tried to find the owner of the puppy, which appears to be a little under a year old. When nobody claimed Taylor — named for the road — they took him to animal control and appealed for someone to adopt him.
Lorena Nelson said a member of Fresno Bully Rescue would pick up the dog Tuesday and take him to Bakersfield, where someone with Pit Bull Peninsula in Los Angeles will pick him up and take care of him until a permanent home is found.
