Police today released a sketch of one of two men wanted for questioning in the attempted abduction of a 14-year-old Davis High School student.
Police believe the men intended to rape the girl, whom they accosted Tuesday afternoon as she walked home from school. She fought off the men and got home unhurt.
The incident occurred in the 2500 block of Hemminger Way, a few blocks southwest of the school and northeast of Catherine Everett Elementary School.
The victim spoke with a police sketch artist, and police released the sketch of what they say is a black man in his 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a muscular build and brown hair in dreadlocks.
The other suspect is described as a Latino man in his 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a skinny build and brown hair.
They were believed to be driving a red compact car with aftermarket black rims and a tinted rear window. Police have increased patrols near schools as a result of the incident.
