After dropping one-third of an inch of rain on Modesto on Sunday, Mother Nature has opened the spigots again today. As of 5 p.m., the Modesto Irrigation District reported that six-tenths of an inch had fallen, most of it between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
A high wind advisory was set to expire atl 6 p.m..
In downtown Modesto, a number of small branches have fallen to the ground and many blocked storm drains around town have resulted in large puddles on many streets. But there have been no reports of serious problems from the weather.

The high temperature in Modesto today was 59 degrees, up from 55 Sunday. The low Sunday was 47, according to MID.
