Salida Union School District trustees are expected to decide tonight whether to close a school to help balance the district's budget for next year.
The district has zeroed in on closing Perkins or Salida elementary, the district's two oldest schools and with the smallest enrollments.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of Sisk Elementary School, 5337 Sugar Creek Lane, Salida.
