A Hughson City Council training session on open meeting law and conflict of interest rules was canceled because not enough people would attend.
City Manager Joe Donabed said Monday afternoon that the Monday night session, a joint meeting with the Planning and Parks and Recreation commissions, would be canceled because it failed to reach a quorum.
The meeting was set in response to a Stanislaus County civil grand jury recommendation that the City Council get more training in ethics, the Brown Act and conflict of interest regulations.
The grand jury in December found that three Hughson city councilmen violated the Brown Act and should be removed from office.
