A 69-year-old Modesto man was killed Tuesday afternoon after the car he was driving collided with another at an intersection west of Porterville near Highway 99.
The Tulare County Coroner's Office was still trying to notify family this morning, and could not release the victim's name.
The CHP said the Modesto man was driving a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am northbound on Road 152 approaching Highway 190 at about 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday.
Lawrence Billiou, 55, of Porterville, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Highway 190.

The Modesto man, according to the CHP, failed to stop at the intersection stop sign. Billiou did not have a stop sign and his car struck the left side of the Grand Am.
The Modesto man died at the scene. Billiou suffered minor injuries, the CHP said.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
