A man suspected in the stabbing of his estranged wife turned himself in hours after the attack, authorities said. Miguel Ivan Tamayo Martinez, 31, was booked at the Stanislaus County Jail on Sunday evening, sheriff's Lt. Mario Cisneros said. Martinez remained in custody Monday evening, according to the jail's Web site. The Web site listed Martinez's charges as assault with a deadly weapon and inflicting a corporal injury resulting in traumatic injury against a spouse, cohabitant or former spouse or cohabitant. The woman and her boyfriend were stabbed early Sunday at a residence in Salida, authorities have said. The boyfriend was treated at a Modesto hospital and released. The woman had surgery. Cisneros said the woman remains in stable condition at a Modesto hospital.
