Modesto police are looking for a man who robbed a Central Modesto market at gunpoint on Monday night.
The suspect walked into Gill’s Food Mart on Lucern Avenue at about 8:25 p.m. and pulled out a revolver and demanded money from the clerk, according to officer Scott Nelson of the Modesto Police Department.
The suspect then fired a shot into a display case. The clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect took off on foot, Nelson said.
The man was described as being 6 feet tall and wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and a blue bandana around his face. No more description was available, Nelson said.
