Coroner's office seeks help in finding family

Stanislaus County coroner officials are trying to find family members of a 66-year-old man who died of natural causes March 1 at a Modesto convalescent hospital.

James E. Nelson was originally from the Bay Area and was living at the hospital when he died.

Coroner officials described Nelson as a white man weighing 128 pounds with a tattoo on his left shoulder.

Family members are asked to call Elizabeth Hawthorne at the Stanislaus County coroner's office at 567-4500.
