An argument between two men Monday near Summerfaire Park in Turlock ended when one of the men fired a gun at the other, just missing his head, police said.
The shooting occurred in front of a home in the 1600 block of Joett Drive, just north of West Canal Drive and east of North Tully Road, according to Turlock police Lt. Steve Williams.
A man was out in front of his house when a second man drove by slowly in a white Lincoln Navigator. The sport-utility vehicle was heading east on Joett before it made a U-turn. Police said the SUV driver said something to the resident, who then approached the car.
The two men exchanged words before the driver pulled out a gun and shot at the man. Police said the bullet just missed the man's head and lodged in the house. The driver then left the scene in the SUV, Williams said.
