Dark clouds moved into the Northern San Joaquin Valley and brought some rain to the region Tuesday, but not enough to stop crews from working on this sewer system project in Modesto.
Crews from K.J. Woods Construction Inc. of San Francisco didn't let the weather deter them as they toiled both above ground and below at north Ninth Street and Woodland Avenue.
The storm that moved into the area overnight brought 0.03 of an inch of rain, with more possible through Friday.
After a weekend of temperatures in the 70s, forecasters expect them to drop back into the 60s or lower until the storm system moves out.

While rain can sometimes delay work on projects, the cool temperatures also mean those laboring in the valley won't have to worry about beating the heat — at least for now.
