Police will be looking for drunken drivers Friday night during a saturation patrol in Oakdale.
The goal is to reduce deaths and injuries caused by alcohol-related crashes, Oakdale police said.
In a saturation patrol, officers drive around with the sole purpose of finding impaired drivers. The patrol also is an effort to educate the public about the dangers of driving under the influence and encourage designated drivers.
The patrol is funded by a grant from the state Office of Traffic Safety.
