Valley residents will have to say goodbye to nearly a week’s worth of sunshine, as a rainstorm is predicted to move in by Sunday.
That’s bad news for the horseshoe crew at Enslen Park, where residents Friday gathered to take advantage of the sunshine.
"This is my home away from home," said Jamie Claussen.
Clouds are expected to increase today, with the storm bringing wet and windy weather to the valley Sunday and dropping an inch or more of rain through Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds of 15 to 20 mph and gusts possibly reaching 30 mph are expected for the valley Sunday through Monday afternoon, according to the weather service.
The Modesto area has received 14.25 inches of rain this season, and the average rainfall for the same time period is 11.85 inches, according to the Modesto IrrigationDistrict.
Some snowfall is predicted in the higher elevations of the Sierra Nevada on Sunday,, with wind gusts up to 50 mph.
