A Harrah's resort in Laughlin, Nev., has added two more package trips to its 2010 flight schedule from the Modesto Airport, officials announced Thursday.
The new packages include round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations and an airport-hotel transfer for $169 per person.
"We're very excited about it," said Modesto Airport manager Jerome Thiele. "We hope to build upon this. We have not had flights like this in probably 15 years."
The new flights are set to depart Aug. 9 and return Aug. 13 and leave Sept. 21 to return Sept. 24. The new flights join the scheduled May 3 and June 8 trips.
Harrah's in Laughlin is a Mexican-themed resort property on the banks of the Colorado River, 90 miles south of Las Vegas.
The flights will be operated by Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air. Allegiant Air sold out its first three-night trip from Modesto to the Harrah's resort in February. That was a good sign for the airport, which lost daily commercial flights to Los Angeles in 2008.
People can call Harrah's Air Reservations at 800-315-9113 to book a flight.
