If you're enjoying today's delightful sunshine and warm temperatures in and around Modesto, commit the feeling to memory. The weather will take a colder turn Tuesday as another rainstorm takes aim at the Central Valley.
The showers could arrive as early as Tuesday morning, and forecasters expect them to persist through the evening and into Wednesday, when the high in Modesto should barely top 60 degrees.
Thursday and Friday should be clear with highs in the mid-60s.
Today, the Modesto Irrigation District recorded a temperature of 79 degrees at 2 p.m. Forecasters expected the mercury to push up a few more degrees before declining to an overnight low of 49.
