Two injured in Modesto shooting

Two people were shot Tuesday afternoon in Modesto, but police officers were getting conflicting reports about where the shooting occurred.

The male victims appeared to have injuries that did not threaten their lives, said Sgt. Rick Armendariz, a Modesto police spokesman.

The victims had been taken to a hospital by someone who was with them. The victims' ages were not available.

Investigating officers were looking into the possibility the shooting occurred near Yosemite Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue or several blocks away near Riverside Park.
