Man robs Jack in the Box in Modesto's La Loma area

Modesto police are on the lookout for a man who robbed a Jack-in-the-Box restaurant this morning in the La Loma area.

Police were called to the restaurant at 1239 Yosemite Blvd. at 6:32 a.m. Employees reported the man jumped over the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of money from a cash register, according to Lt. Clint Raymer.

Nobody was injured, and no weapon was seen.

The man left in a faded black four-door Honda or Volkswagen Jetta.

Witnesses described the suspect as a thin, white male, in his mid-20s with blond hair, a beard, a black shirt and camoflouge pants. It’s not known which direction he fled the business.
