Oakdale has settled a lengthy dispute with a former employee by sending her a check for $51,685.71.
Former administrative secretary Kim Mossman filed a grievance against the city in 2005 after she was laid off. Her union contract said she was entitled to a similar position with the city based upon her seniority.
The city appealed an arbitrator's first ruling in 2006, but did not prevail.
In March, a Stanislaus County judge ruled that Mossman was entitled to interest in her award for back pay and other costs.
