Riverbank City Councilman Jesse James White was released on bail after authorities arrested him Friday afternoon on narcotics charges. Attempts to reach White at his Riverbank home Saturday were not successful. The 21-year-old councilman is one of six Republican candidates on the June 8 ballot seeking the party's nomination in the 25th Assembly District. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and cocaine along with violating probation, said Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson. He was booked at the Stanislaus County Jail, and his bail was set at $10,000. By late Friday, he had been released from custody. Authorities found the drugs during a routine probation search at his home, Christianson said.
