WILD HORSE AND BURRO ADOPTION

INFO: The U.S. Bureau of Land Management will offer 40 horses and 10 burros for adoption as part of its effort to manage herd sizes on its land in California and Nevada. Silent bidding will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Animals not taken during bidding will be available for a $125 adoption fee. Prospective owners must show that they have enough corral space and meet other requirements of the program. They should bring a halter and lead rope to the event.
