JOHN MUIR HIGHWAY

WHEN: Saturday, 11 a.m.

WHERE: Highway 132 at Highway 49

INFO: The newly named John Muir Highway, which covers Smith Station Road from Coulterville to Highway 120 east of Groveland, will be dedicated. The event will feature keynote speaker Bill Hanna, great-grandson of the honoree, and Muir impersonator Lee Stetson. It also will include a motorcade of vintage cars on the highway. Another dedication by Groveland-area leaders will be at 2 p.m. at the Highway 120 end. For more information, call 878-3074 or 962-0429.
