Modesto-area road delays, detours for this week

Because of sewer trunk rehabilitation, expect delays on Emerald Avenue south of Highway 132 to California Avenue. A flagger will direct traffic in both directions.

Bangs Avenue from Tully Road to McHenry Avenue will be closed to through traffic for a water main installation. Completion is scheduled this month.

Replacement of an 8-inch water main on Latimer Avenue between Bystrum Road and Avon Street is scheduled to be completed June 30.

Pavement is being repaired on Hatch Road between Dallas Street and Ustick Road. Expect delays throughout the area; construction will take place between 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Completion is scheduled for Friday.

The southbound lane of Conant Avenue will be closed for street improvements between Rumble Road and Eicher Avenue. Completion is scheduled for August.

The right-turn lane from West Briggsmore Avenue onto northbound Sisk Road will be closed and the right lane on southbound Sisk Road at West Briggsmore Avenue will be closed for the construction of right-turn lanes at Carpenter Road-Sisk Road and at Orangeburg Avenue- Briggsmore Avenue. Completion is scheduled for August.

A California Department of Transportation project on Highway 33 will cause 15-minute delays in Newman and Patterson. Crews will perform one-way traffic control from Inyo Street to Jensen Road in Newman from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Wednesday. Crews will perform one-way traffic control from Sperry Avenue to Zacharias Road in Patterson from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
