Modesto police seek bank robber

Investigators were looking for a man who robbed a north Modesto bank Thursday afternoon and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The bank robbery occurred about 4:40 p.m. at Oak Valley Bank in the 4100 block of Dale Road. The robber entered the bank and gave a clerk a note demanding money, according to Modesto police. The robber then left the bank with the stolen cash and was last seen running through the parking lot.

Police described the robber as a man in his mid-30s, wearing a white baseball cap, a long-sleeved shirt and shorts.

Investigators ask anyone with information about this bank robbery to call the Modesto Police Department at 572-9500 or Crime Stoppers at 521-4636.
