The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors meets at 9 a.m. today in the basement chamber at Tenth Street Place, 1010 10th St., Modesto. The board is scheduled to:
Receive petitions from people wanting supervisors to require that all businesses post U.S. flags, in respect to soldiers who have died or are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan;
Adopt a new formula determining pay for the Board of Supervisors, resulting in no raise this year;
Pay more for a flood control study on Orestimba Creek near Newman, where flooding causes about $3 million in yearly damage, according a federal estimate.
