Detectives on Thursday released a surveillance video showing three men suspected of casing an east Modesto liquor store before burglarizing the business earlier this month, a police spokesman said.
Modesto police Sgt. Rick Armendariz said the detectives are asking the public to help identify the men.
The burglary occurred about 6 a.m. Aug. 10 at the Stop and Shop in the 3100 block of Yosemite Boulevard, just east of Lincoln Avenue. The store was closed when it was burglarized.
The suspects arrived at the store in a silver newer model Chevrolet Malibu. Armendariz said the suspects got out of the car, walked up to the store and entered it away from the surveillance camera's view.
He said the suspects broke into the store, but nothing was stolen. Breaking into a business or home is considered burglary, even if nothing is stolen.
Police described the suspects as:
A white man about 30 to 40 years old with a thin build and wearing a baseball cap with "FLIP" on it, an olive green or tan hooded sweat shirt, blue denim shorts, black sneakers and gray or black mechanic's gloves.
A white man in his 40s with a large build, about 240 pounds, and wearing a blue, white and gray hooded windbreaker, blue denim shorts and black sneakers.
A white man in his 30s with a medium build and wearing blue pants, a blue hooded sweat shirt and white sneakers.
Police ask anyone with information about this burglary or the suspects seen in the video to call Crime Stoppers at 521-4636.
