Three hurt in Ceres crash

Three people were injured Saturday night when a stolen car crashed into a vehicle at Whitmore and Mitchell roads, Ceres police said. The car, a Toyota Camry, is believed to have been stolen in the 1800 block of Gail Court, Sgt. Dennis Perry said. Police spotted someone driving the car on Central Avenue, Perry said. Officers attempted to pull the car over, he said, but it did not stop. The car eventually ran a red light on Whitmore Road, then crashed into a compact car with two women inside. Firefighters extricated the suspect from the Camry, as well as the two women. They were taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto and were in stable condition, Perry said.
