Here's a look what crimes the Turlock log yielded recently:

— At 4:19 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 2400 block of West Monte Vista Avenue for a report that a 16-year-old male assaulted his father over cell phone usage. The juvenile destroyed the inside of his father’s car and had hit his father in the head. He was arrested for assault and felony vandalism. The boy's name was not released because he is a minor.

— On Tuesday, a 23-years-old man was arrested for trying to steal a 25-pound pack of ground beef from a delivery truck. Police arrested him in the 2500 block of Fulkerth Road at 12:34 a.m.
