Man forced to remove pants during Modesto carjacking

A 65 year-old man was forced to remove his pants before being carjacked in the Winco parking lot on Plaza Parkway Tuesday night.

The victim was getting out of his 1995 Honda Accord around 7:50 p.m. when a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt approached him, according to Lt. Clint Raymer.

The suspect twisted the victim’s arm behind his back and ordered him to remove his pants, Raymer said. The victim did as he was told and the suspect removed car keys and a cell phone from the pants and drove off in the car.

The burgundy Honda was last seen traveling eastbound on Plaza Parkway toward Prescott Road.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing between 160 and 180 pounds.
