Prosecutors say Ripon ATM thief paid strippers

A Ripon man has been charged with embezzling $148,860 from the ATM machines he serviced and giving it to strippers in a Stockton club, according to media reports. Orlando Calderon Flores, 27, is scheduled for a court hearing Dec. 7, San Joaquin County court records show. Prosecutors say Flores stole the money, $20 at a time, from a Chase Bank cash machine in Stockton between Aug. 1, 2009, and July 13, and spent it all on strippers at Stockton's Déjà Vu Showgirls, the Stockton Record reported Friday. Flores was a longtime employee of Garda Cash Logistics, an armored car company based in Modesto. A San Joaquin County official said Flores was fired Aug. 25.
