A horse groomer who worked at an Orange County equestrian center has been arrested on a warrant from Turlock, where he is wanted on felony counts of lewd acts on a child, police said.
David Montano, 45, was arrested Thursday when Orange County deputies stopped him on a suspected traffic violation, said Jim Amormino, a sheriff's spokesman. Montano is wanted on a 2008 warrant from the Turlock Police Department.
The warrant is for three counts of lewd acts on a child, said Turlock police Lt. Steven Williams.
Bail for Montano was set at $350,000. He is in custody at the Orange County Jail awaiting pickup by Turlock police later this week, Williams said.
