Sheri Lopez: What has Adam Gray done for our wounded warriors? Not enough

Open letter to Assemblyman Adam Gray:

My husband and I went to you for help two years ago. Help for those American service men and women who are wounded or injured in combat. Since the VA and the state of California dictate if a service member is either wounded or injured in combat, they have to pay back their disability rating if deployed again. It is affecting a lot of service members who really do not make that much money.

The VA and state are penalizing wounded and injured service members. You gave your word to my husband you would do something about this travesty. My husband gave you a flag that was flown in Karbala, Iraq, when my husband was wounded. Now I want that flag back. You do not deserve it. You have done nothing to help these poor, injured, wounded warriors. Shame on you, sir. I will remind the voters come election day that you are not someone that can be trusted.

Sheri Lopez, Merced
