Terri Dixon-Jeppesen: Swiggart has pride in his community

We all know we need our next sheriff to be trustworthy and hard-working, but we also need one who has pride in his community.

Frank Swiggart takes pride in everything he does, and this really stood out when we were talking about his campaign signs.

Frank wants to make sure any of his signs that have been blown loose get fixed and do not become eyesores. When someone pays attention to little things like campaign signs, just think what he can accomplish as a leader.

Our deputies have pride in their jobs, but we need to get the pride back in the citizens of Merced County.

Pride can be infectious if we have the correct leader.

Let’s elect a sheriff who is trustworthy, hardworking and wants to improve safety and pride in the community and the morale in the department.

Let’s look to the future with a man who wants the job so he can have a community safe for all future generations and not someone just running because he was asked to by some people or one looking to add to his retirement plans.

It’s time for the new ideas to replace the old ideas.
