Pollsters could soon be calling thousands of households within Merced Union High School District lines, hoping to gauge support of the district’s next possible attempt at a bond measure.
Oakland political consulting firm Tramutola LLC told the district’s school board Wednesday night that a poll of voters in the area is needed in order to determine if and when the district should place a school bond measure on a 2008 ballot.
“We need to know where voters are today on this measure,” said Bonnie Moss, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Sidewalk Strategies, a division of Tramutola that deals with public agencies.
