Merced County Supervisor John Pedrozo was elected to serve as chairman of the San Joaquin Valley Rail Committee Thursday, according to a county press release. He begins serving his two year term immediately.
Pedrozo has been a member of the San Joaquin Valley Rail Committee since 2003, when he was elected to the Merced County Board of Supervisors. The rail board represents 13 counties that make up the "San Joaquin Corridor."
