DELHI — Investigators for several local, state, and federal agencies swooped down on several residences Friday believed to be supplying marijuana and methamphetamine throughout the area.

A total of eight search warrants and two probation/parole searches were served in the Delhi area beginning around 8 a.m., resulting in several arrests and the confiscation of guns and illegal narcotics, according to Merced County Sheriff’s spokesperson Tom MacKenzie.

The operation, which was still ongoing this morning, includes members of the Merced County Sheriff’s STAR (Sheriff’s Tactical and Reconnaissance)Team, U.S. Marshals, the Merced County Multi-Agency Gang Task Force and the Fresno Police Department.

Kevin Blake of the STAR Team said the operation was primarily focused on capturing local street-level drug dealers.
