A man was stabbed in the stomach after he was approached by several men in Delhi, according to the Merced County Sheriff's Department.
The 25-year-old man was walking down the road with three other people when the group was approached from behind by several suspects yelling gang slurs, the Sheriff's Department said.
The suspects chased the four people and a fight followed, leaving the 25-year-old victim with a six-inch-long stab wound to the stomach. He went to his home, called for an ambulance and was flown to a Modesto hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
The suspect in the stabbing was described as a Hispanic male in his mid-20s, wearing black shorts, a white shirt and black bandana. No information was provided about the other suspects.
