Firefighters continue to make good progress in battling the lightning-caused fires that have been burning since Saturday in Mariposa County in the Sierra National Forest.
Jaime Bishop, a SNF spokeswoman, said of three major fires in the area, the Westfall fire near Fish Camp was declared 100 percent contained Tuesday night after burning 105 acres.
The Silver Knob fire north of Ahwahnee was reported at 60 percent contained after burning 480 acres.
No information was available this morning on the Oliver fire in the Ponderosa Basin, which has burned about 1,300 acres, but at the same time, there were also no reports of any structures being damaged, Bishop said.
