After destroying 21 homes, forcing hundreds of residents to flee and burning more than 34,000 acres, the Telegraph fire in Mariposa County is expected to be fully contained today. By dawn today, the blaze was 95 percent contained, Cal Fire said.
Cal Fire spokeswoman Suzanne Grin said Sunday that firefighters did not expect the blaze to grow.
Only a significant event would stop firefighters from achieving full containment today, she said. "We're talking about something like it jumping the fire line, but we are not seeing that happening."
