Merced police are looking for two men who held up the Wing Stop Restaurant on East Yosemite Avenue overnight, getting away with an undetermined amount of cash from the business and with employees' wallets and a cell phone, officials said this morning.
One clerk was struck on the head with a handgun, requiring medical attention at the scene, Lt. Jim Gurden said.
The robbery was reported shortly after 12:07 a.m. at 779 E. Yosemite. Employees told police they were getting ready to close when two men with handguns entered the restaurant, and one of them jumped the counter.
