Three Merced teenagers were arrested on a suspicion of burglarizing a home Thursday, police said.
The juveniles, whose names weren’t released because of their ages, were seen at 2:20 p.m. trying to force open the door of a home in the 500 block of George Drive, off U Street.
When they couldn’t get in there, they ran to the house’s backyard and opened a window, Merced police Lt. Bimley West said.
The suspects, ages 13, 16 and 17, ran when police arrived, but were arrested nearby. The citizen who called police confirmed they were the ones trying to force open the door.
