Merced County sheriff's investigators are on the lookout for a man who entered a Delhi gas station on Sunday and exited with a cash register drawer.
Sgt. Scott Dover said the theft was reported at 6:05 p.m. in the 9500 block of Stephens Street.
The thief, a black man in his 20s or early 30s, entered the store while the clerk was stacking shelves. The man grabbed the cash register drawer and ran out of the building, Dover said.
Investigators got a glimpse of the man's face from a surveillance camera, although they haven't yet positively identified him. Two witnesses standing outside of the business also saw the man fleeing on foot.
