Pedestrian injured as he crosses highway onramp

A man running across an onramp to Highway 99 was injured Tuesday afternoon when he was struck by a 2006 Ford F250 pickup truck.

The man was running on V Street from the freeway to a nearby gas station when he was hit by the slow-moving truck as he crossed the onramp at approximately 3:35 p.m., according to CHP spokesman Shane Ferreira. The man, whose identity was not released, was flown to Doctors Hospital of Modesto for medical treatment. His condition was unknown. The truck was driven by Robert Diliberto, 50, of Hilmar.
