2:16 p.m.: Pacific Gas & Electric crews were working to restore power to 429 customers in Mariposa today.
The outage began at 11:17 a.m., PG&E spokesman Jeff Smith said.

A spokesperson at John C. Fremont Hospital said lights flickered, but the power did not go out at the hospital.
A report that Mariposa schools lost power could not be confirmed.
Smith said the cause of the outage is under investigation.
